The Early Years Inclusion Team (EYIT) offers support and advice for children with special needs in under fives settings. We work with parents, carers, staff, and other professionals in education and health. We aim to support progress and support settings so that all children can access the Foundation Stage curriculum to their full potential.
The support we offer includes:
Guidance for writing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Integrated working with outside agencies and services
Referrals for assessment
Strategies for promoting positive behaviour
Training for practitioners
The role of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Guidance for writing Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy
Support for transition from early years settings to school reception classes

Makaton sign language (we can arrange this for your setting, we will not run the training ourselves)
