Foundation Stage

This section gives you information, ideas, and guidance to support settings and schools in reflecting on, evaluating and developing high quality practice. Some material is appropriate for all schools and settings, some is geared towards the needs of schools; some towards the needs of the early years sector.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is the statutory framework for all providers of early years care and education. In Islington it is delivered by primary and nursery schools, children centres, private, voluntary and independent nurseries, playgroups and childminders.
