Islington Working for Parents

Are you a mum or dad with a child under five? Do you see your children having fun, learning and making friends? Well, you could too! You could do a college course, start work or volunteer.

Islington Working for Parents can help you every step of the way – from childcare and benefits advice to advice on courses or job hunting.

Why don’t you pop in to your local children’s centre to find out more?

Islington Working for Parents is a new service to help parents of young children get the confidence, skills and practical help to prepare for the move into work, whenever that may be.

Running a home and bringing up young children is demanding enough, and we know that the thought of applying for jobs, coming off benefits and finding affordable childcare can be a major worry.

Talk to Us

Why Contact Us?

“Parents need support from people who understand their circumstances. If you have never worked or are going back to work after a long time, you’ll need help to recognise your skills. Islington Working for Parents can help identify what you need – for example, childcare – and then help you find it. Islington Working for Parents is also here to support parents of young children to improve their employability by learning new skills. This can help build confidence, which is so important when you are thinking of returning to work.”
