Islington schools are being transformed in to first class educational facilities to give every young person the best possible opportunity to succeed.
We’re investing in primary schools, secondary schools and schools for children with special educational needs so to support the aspirations and achievements of our young people now and in the future.
In Islington GCSE results are at an all time high and achievement is up at every Key Stage. More and more people are choosing an Islington school as their first choice for education.
BSF is a national Government initiative to make improvements to every secondary school in the country. It is the biggest national investment in school buildings in England for 50 years.
But BSF investment is about much more than buildings; it will transform education at our schools and provide excellent facilities to serve our communities for decades to come.
Islington’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme is a £140 million, five year scheme to transform eight of the borough’s ten secondary schools, a special educational needs school and a pupil referral unit in to first class learning environments supported by the latest technology.
