Crouch Hill Community Park
Islington Council is working with its partners on a proposal to relocate Ashmount School to the site of the former Crouch Hill Recreation Centre. Our aim is to provide a sustainable new development with excellent education and leisure facilities.
After listening to local views on this issue, the council has commissioned preliminary plans for the Crouch Hill area. These include:
a new school on the site of the Crouch Hill Recreation Centre
a new building for Bowlers Nursery
a refurbished Cape Play and Youth Centre
protection of the site's natural environment with enhanced care for its plant and animal life
accommodation for community use and
improvements to the open space with better security and access for the public
The preliminary plans can be viewed by downloading the PDF’s at the bottom of this page.
The next step
The council will now prepare a formal application to planning authorities. We will follow all due processes as we take the project forward.
If planning consent is granted the council will be making a big and important investment in the community and services to be provided in the area.
Have your say
The Council wants as many people as possible to contribute to our exciting vision for Crouch Hill.
Over the coming months our design team will be developing our preliminary plans to complete a planning application. We will be talking to residents and local organisations to ensure our plans for Crouch Hill reflect community needs.
We will keep residents updated about this consultation process.
