Islington currently has 47 primary schools, ten secondary schools, three special schools and five Pupil Referral Units.
From 2009 the borough will also be home to the City of London Academy, as Islington Green Secondary School is closed to be redeveloped as this academy school. For more information, click on the links on the right, under Related Information.
These are all run by Cambridge Education @ Islington, which has a contract to provide schools services to the London Borough of Islington until 2011.
