Islington Libraries subscribe to a range of premium online information resources that can be used for free by library members on any internet enabled computer. Just click on the links below. If you are not using a library computer you will need to enter your membership card number when prompted (not including any spaces). Please note that Ancestry and Westlaw are only available from a library computer.

Times Digital Archive
The TDA 1785-1985 gives access to 200 years of The Times (London). The Times is the 'world's newspaper of record' and covers all major international historical events, from the French Revolution to the Falklands War. Newsbank
Newsbank database contains the full text of two dozen UK and Irish newspapers, including the Evening Standard and the Economist magazine, as well as a handful of other world titles. Most have a back file to 1998, some longer, and include the current edition.

Enquire is a live question and answer service available 24 hours a day, every day. It works like instant messaging or chat room technology, allowing you to put questions to trained library staff in Britain or North America, just as they would if you were talking to them face-to-face or on the telephone. The service is free and anyone can use it.

Multikulti offers information (including on libraries), advice, guidance and learning materials in 11 community languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, Gujerati, Somali, Spanish and Turkish.
