Out of School Care

After school clubs run in term time from Monday to Friday, 3.30-6.30pm. For information about costs please contact your child’s school or provider.

You can download the list below for a full list of adventure playgrounds, community after-school clubs and some other out of school activities.

Breakfast clubs

Your child's primary school or secondary school will tell you if it has a breakfast club or other breakfast provision. Many Islington schools can provide breakfast and those that do exist, provide choices including fruit, toast, cereal and juice and you can be sure that your child will be on time for school. They are very low cost. The age range is usually 5 - 11.

Holiday schemes

Holiday schemes are run by a wide range of community and council funded organisations, mainly for children aged 5 to 14 years. Some nurseries have told us that they can take extra children aged 3 to 5 years. There are some schemes designed for disabled children and young people and those with additional needs. The list below also includes some information on sports, arts and leisure activities.

Some of the schemes run during every holiday, but some do not operate during the Christmas period.

Costs may depend on your income. For more information, click on the link to Paying for Childcare on the right.

For term dates please see the link on the right.
