Education for Under Fives

This section has information about the range of education options for under-fives throughout Islington.

Children's Centres

Children's Centres offer a wide range of 'joined up' education, care, health and family support services, for children from conception to five years and their parents. By 2009 there will be 16 Children's Centres in Islington, managed in conjunction with partner agencies, such as the Primary Care Trust, Cambridge Education and the voluntary sector.

The final phase of development in 2008/09 will see Children’s Centres at Conewood Street, Mitford Holloway (Hornsey Road), Moreland Primary School, North Islington Nursery School and Margaret McMillan Nursery School.

Nurseries and Early Years Centres

Nurseries and Early Years Centres are another option for under-fives. There are listings available about both council-run, community and private nurseries, playgroups and Early Years Centres, on the Children's Information Service webpages.
