Nurseries and Playgroups
Nurseries provide care and education to children under five years. Some nurseries start at age three months. Nurseries are run by the council, by schools, by community groups and privately.

OfSTED (the Office for Standards in Education) inspects all nurseries regularly. Nursery reports can be viewed at the OfSTED website by clicking on the link under Useful Websites, on the right-hand side of this page.
