Help Required

There is an opportunity to assist the Borough Returning Officer in the delivery of these important elections on 1 May 2008.

We have positions available as Presiding Officers and Poll Clerks and also help will be required in the issue and receipt of postal votes.

Presiding Officers must have at least 2 or 3 years experience as a Poll Clerk.

Rates of Pay

Presiding Officers shall expect no less than £380.00. Poll clerks no less than £256.00. Rates of pay for postal votes are not yet available.

Hours of work

Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm. All polling station staff will be required to attend a training session.

Postal votes sessions will take places at various points in the two weeks prior to the election.
