The results of the European Parliamentary Elections 2009 were announced by the London Regional Returning Officer in Lewisham on Sunday 7 June. The turnout for London was 33.53%. The results for London were as follows:

Islington results

The total number of valid votes for Islington was 42,707. The turn-out was 32.3%. The official results from the Local Returning Officer for the Islington area are as follows:
