The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006
The introduction of the above regulations requires the London Borough of Islington to carry out a review of Polling Districts and Polling Places on a regular four-yearly cycle. The first such review was completed on 31 December 2007. Local political parties and councillors were consulted and views were sought from residents as well as those with specialist knowledge and interest in issues around accessibility such as disability groups. The formal consultation period began on Tuesday 1 May 2007 and ended on Monday 2 July 2007.
