The Corporate Strategy: Service and Financial Plan 2008-11

This document sets out our long term vision of ‘One Islington’ and the strategy and plans for achieving this vision over the next three years, in partnership with other key organisations who provide services for the people of Islington. The strategy also shows the progress made over the past financial year (2007-08) and details new objectives to be achieved for the next three years. 

The Corporate Strategy: Annual Finance and Performance Report 2008

This report presents information on how the council managed its budget in 2007/08 and how it performed against the set of statutory Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs).

After the publication of this report, there are internal and external audits of the 2007/08 results.

2007/8 is the last year the council will report on performance in this way; central government has introduced a new national set of indicators that will be reported centrally by the Audit Commission. From 2009, local authorities and their partners will be measured by a new performance management framework called the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA)
