Islington Residents have until 19 May to register to vote in the 2009 European Parliamentary Elections.
Islington Council is calling on the 140,000 residents entitled to vote in June's European Parliamentary Elections to use their ballot.
Islington is part of the London Region for the European Parliament, which will elect eight Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
Polling Day is Thursday 4 June 2009, Islington Council will open 89 polling stations across the borough in schools and community centres.
Residents must renew their registration every year to be certain of being able to vote in local Council, national and European Parliamentary Elections.
All British, other Commonwealth and European Union member state citizens can register to vote. European Union citizens can vote in Islington at the elections but they need to complete the European Elector Application (UC1) Form. This can be downloaded from the Islington Council website.
