Have your say on the Nag's Head - and win free shopping

Date: 16-Feb-09 by Chris Roe

RESIDENTS, visitors and workers are being asked to have their say on Islington's Nag's Head - and to enter a free prize draw to win shopping vouchers.
Islington Council is talking to hundreds of people to find out what they think about the area and how they would like to see improved.
More than 150 people have taken part already. All survey respondents can enter a free prize draw for Boots, James Selby, M&S, Morrisons or Waitrose vouchers.
Cllr Lucy Watt, Islington Council's Executive Member for Business, Skills and Communities, said: "The council has spent a lot of money on Nag's Head, such as the recent lighting scheme that has helped local shops and cut crime fears.
"We'd like to hear what people think about the area and how we can further help to improve this vibrant, bustling part of Islington."
Results from the survey will be used to help decide what work will be prioritised by the council, local businesses, and police.
To take part in the consultation please go to www.islington.gov.uk/businesspartnership. For more information or a paper copy please call Hothan Esmael at 020 7527 3093 or email nagshead@islington.gov.uk. Face-to-face interviews are also being carried out at the Nag's Head this month.
The deadline for surveys is March 2.
