August Bank Holiday Bin Collections

Recycling and rubbish will be collected in Islington this August Bank Holiday Monday 27 August, as usual on Monday.<br> <br>This is in response to feedback from residents, who asked for the convenience of regular collections. <br> <br>Islington Council has 20 daily refuse rounds, six recycling bag rounds for estates and four street property rounds for green boxes and green/food waste. <br> <br>Cllr Lucy Watt, Executive Member for Environment, Islington Council said: <br> <br>"Life doesn't stop on Bank Holidays so we've made sure that our waste collection services don't stop either.<br> <br>"Residents told us they found changed collection days disruptive and confusing so we've taken action.<br> <br>"Street sweepers will work over the holiday weekend - it means we can keep the streets cleaner.
