Music for free at your local library

Date: 21-Nov-06 by verity cork

Drop into one of Islington's 13 libraries this December and choose from a wide range of music CDs to borrow - for free.

Cllr George Allan, Executive Member for Customer Focus, said: "Christmas can be an expensive time, so free music hire provides welcome light relief. It also goes to show that Islington's libraries offer more than just great books."

Library members can also hire the latest feature films on video or DVD for just £2 per night, or they can head to the library for Playstation and X-Box games, at the bargain price of £2 per week.

Libraries are free and easy to join. Residents simply take one current and official proof of address and one proof of ID to their local library. They can also apply for membership online at www.islington.gov.uk/education/libraries or call 020 7527 6900 for more information.
