A report to East Area Committee on 14 November will recommend four streets are taken out of the road closure cordon operating around the Emirates Stadium on match days.
Road closures were introduced at the request of the Metropolitan Police Service to protect the safety of local people and stadium users on match days and ensure emergency services can access the local area and stadium.
The planning agreement specified monitoring of traffic arrangements for the first five home matches of the season.
Following successful management of pedestrian and vehicle flows around the stadium, it is proposed to lift match day closures currently affecting the eastern ends of Martineau Road and Aubert Park. In addition, Elfort Road and Stavordale Road are also proposed to be removed from the closures. These roads would be acessible to visitors and residents alike.
Partial restrictions would still apply to Ronalds Road (west end), Withington Road and Horsell Road on match days, where residents would continue to use their pink permits to give them access up to one hour before the start of the match.
Cllr Terry Stacy, Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Housing and Communities, Islington Council said: "I'm delighted we've been able to take four roads out of the cordon - we are committed to minimising the inconvenience the stadium's operation might cause local residents.
We are working with TfL, Metropolitan Police and Arsenal FC to ensure the passage of people to and from the stadium is managed safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption."
The report also recommends the removal of match day suspensions of 21 parking bays on Benwell Road.
The Committee will also consider a permanent match day Traffic Management Order formalising longer term road closures at the end of the season.
Currently 17 roads are included in the match day road closures around the stadium.
