Cllr Lucy Watt, Executive Member for Environment, Islington Council joined Year 4 students from Hargrave Park primary school learning to walk safer across Islington's busy roads.
The school is the 50th primary school to take part in Islington Council's Walk Safer programme, which gives practical pedestrian training to 8 and 9 year olds.
Cllr Watt commented: "Walk Safer is part of the council's ongoing commitment to reducing pedestrian casualties and is an effective way of getting key road safety messages to children across the whole borough.
"Teaching children at this age how to cross the road safely has been an important part of our success in reducing accident rates in the borough".
