Over the summer, Islington Museum invited people to vote for their top three favourite objects on display... and the scariest item.
The votes have now been counted, and the museum is displaying the top 10 favourite items, and the top three scariest. Museum staff tipped the doctor's plague mask as the scariest item, but did the voters agree - or did they find the mummified cat creepier?
Alongside the winning items are quotes from those who voted, as well as full details about the history of the artefacts. Also on display are plans for the new museum, which is set to open in Finsbury Library early in 2008.
The exhibition runs until Friday 8 December, at the Islington Museum, Town Hall, Upper Street, N1.
