Islington Council is inviting local businesses to an information and networking event at Islington Central Reference Library, N5 on Tuesday 21 November 2006 from 6-8PM.
During the evening, participants will:
- learn about a range of business online resources accessible through the council's website
- discover the range of information for businesses held in the Reference Library
- find out about suppliers, finance and marketing
- have the opportunity to to network with other local business people
Gary Cheek from Otto Opticians, Highbury Corner, will be the guest speaker. Mr Cheek has been a businessman in Islington for over 20 years, and will speak about the importance of information when setting up and running a small business.
Refreshments will be provided.
Cllr George Allan, Executive Member for Customer Focus, said: "Setting up and running a small business is a demanding task. The council is supporting local businesses with information events like this, and also via our reference libraries and our website, www.islington.gov.uk/business."
