This year's ninth Islington Summer University recorded one if its most successful years yet, with 452 young people taking part in one of around 71 courses and workshops on offer.
Many of the participants also managed to gain an accreditation through the courses offered by the Summer University, which is organised every year by Islington Council.
Those enrolling in the Summer University were able to chose from a wide range of courses and workshops spread across seven 'zones' - such as visual arts, work and computer.
Matthew Dunn-Lwin, age 13, who participated on the popular Motorcycle Maintenance course said, "It's been brilliant doing this over the summer - I've learnt some technical stuff and I've enjoyed going out riding too".
Cllr Ursula Woolley, Executive Member for Children and Young People, said: "The Summer University programme in Islington is going from strength to strength. I know from the children and young people I met on the various courses over the summer that they felt they were getting a lot out of it, both in terms of enjoyment and learning."
