when:Sunday 23 July from 11am-4pm. Mayor is will be attending 1230-1330
where: Highbury Fields (top grass area by cafe/tennis courts/nursery between Baalbec Rd, Church Path and Highbury Grove).
Islington Council is holding it's first Road Safety Day on on Highbury Fields to raise awareness of road safety issues.
Lots of activities are planned including:
drink drive simulator
seatbelt safety sledge
children's road safety role-play
cycle stunts
bouncy castle
facepainting
street entertainers
non-amplified live music (junk percussion and string trio)
puppet show
London Safety Camera partnership interactive van
non-alcoholic cocktail bar
council road safety marquee with road safety information
The council is working with Safer Neighbourhoods Police team, Transport for London, Children's Traffic Club, London Safety Camera Partnership, St John's Ambulance, Traffic Police, Living Streets and RoadPeace.
