Local residents Mary Reilly of Crouch Hill and James Leeson of Holloway celebrated winning a laptop after entering a competition during Islington Council's Adult Learners week in May.
Both winners were thrilled with their prizes, Mary is keen to get started using her new laptop and will start a course at the newly opened Finsbury Park Learning Zone to help her on her way. "Soon I will be able to book tickets online! I've joined the elite" she commented. Thirty runner up prizes of USB memory sticks were also awarded.
During Adult Learners Week events were held up and down borough. People had a chance to go online on the Islington Online Computer bus and meet the council's Adult Community Learning team at the Nags Head and Chapel Market.
