What: A Real Cloth Nappy Fashion Show with local babies showing just how good real cloth nappies can look and feel

When: 15 June 2006, 10.30am to 12pm

Where: Waterlow Park Centre, Waterlow Park, N19 5JF (Dartmouth Park Hill entrance)

Islington Council is calling all budding baby models to take part in a fashion show to highlight and encourage parents to use real nappies.

Dirty nappies make up about 2% of the UK's waste stream with eight million nappies are thrown away a day in the UK. Yet a baby only needs 20-30 real nappies from birth to potty. These can cost as little as £2 each and washing costs are less than people think. Islington Council offers a £54 discount when you register with the laundry services Nappy Ever After or Number One for Nappies. Or, we offer £54 cash-back on the first purchase of real nappies.

To enter your child for the nappy fashion show please contact Jean Hughes at Islington Council on 020 7527 515.
