Better Service through partnership working as Islington Council and Dunlop Haywards join forces

ISLINGTON COUNCIL AGREE CONTRACT WITH DUNLOP HAYWARDS OVER COMMERICAL PROPERTY PORTFOLIO;

Islington Council and property consultants Dunlop Haywards, have today/yesterday (Friday) announced that they have agreed a three-year contract to manage the borough's 800 unit commercial investment and operational property portfolio. The contract will include the transfer of the council's property team to Dunlop Haywards' Central London offices.

Cllr Arnie Gibbons, executive member for resources, said: "This new partnership will offer even better value for money for Islington residents and businesses. I am pleased that a company with extensive experience and expertise in this field are working with us to manage our commercial property efficiently, and to build excellent relationships with our commercial tenants."

Stephen Armitage, Managing Director of Dunlop Haywards (South) said: "We are very excited to be awarded this contract and for the opportunity contribute to the success of Islington Council. The instruction strengthens Dunlop Haywards' position, as market leaders in outsourced public sector consultancy."

Dunlop Haywards currently manage in the order of 2,000 units on behalf of four other London Councils to which they also provide strategic advice. Dunlop Haywards has been active in this area of the market since 1992 and all contracts won by the firm in that time have either been renewed or extended upon expiry -- in some cases more than once. Dunlop Haywards is a leader in the provision of property management and building consultancy services to London Councils and public sector bodies.
