Islington Council thanked Foster Carers for another great effort with looked-after children in the borough in 2005 by taking them out to lunch.
A large turn-out of carers, children, and council workers, joined Council Leader Steve Hitchins and Mayor of Islington Jonathan Dearth in Stoke Newington.
Cllr James Kempton, executive member for Children said:
"Our Foster carers do a tremendous job in providing Islington's looked-after children with a positive experience of family life -the lunch is an opportunity to say thank you and welcome new carers into the team.
Islington has more than 90 carers making a positive difference to children’s lives."

Steve Hope, the service manager thanked all the carers for the valuable role that carers play in children’s lives. Goodbyes were said to Nelly Brandy and Angela and Jim Botros who have retired as carers for Islington.
