- rent deposit scheme

- Buying to let
- Housing Benefits

- Legal issues
Cllr Jyoti Vaja, executive member for housing and community safety, welcomed the event, saying ""We want to make living and letting in Islington better for everyone. Bringing together private tenants and landlords, who often feel they don’t get the same support as those in the public sector, will help us achieve that.
"As a council we want to improve housing standards for everyone in Islington. 16% of our residents let privately and the only way to help them is to bring tenants and landlords together and work closely with them. This is the first forum of its kind anywhere in London and it is just the beginning."
