Alsen Day Care Centre manager Mary Brade dressed in her Caribbean best on Friday 16 September, to host one of the centre’s final celebrations before it closes for refurbishment. <br><br>Mayor Jonathan Dearth joined in the dancing which began with Greek music for the Greek Cypriots who come to the centre and finished with a Caribbean steel band for the benefit of the Afro-Caribbean service users. <br><br>Mary said: ‘Because we’re going to be relocated for a while in January we thought it would be nice to do a joint celebration for the people who come to the centre since the group will be separating then with half going to Sotheby Mews Day Centre and half going to Highbury New Park Day Centre. But we’re all looking forward to returning to a much improved Alsen Day Centre.’<br><br>ENDS
