Council seeks local feedback to improve Herbal Hill

Islington residents and businesses are being asked to provide feedback on proposed traffic-calming and streetscape improvements to Herbal Hill and Ray Street, EC1.<br><br>The scheme aims to prevent the use of Herbal Hill as a through route, reduce vehicle speeds and volumes, improve pedestrian and cyclist safety and improve the environment along Herbal Hill. <br><br>Local residents and businesses should receive a consultation document in July, the results of which will be used to decide which measures to implement. <br><br>Agreed works would then commence in October and finish by the end of November 2005.<br><br>A public exhibition on the scheme, will be held at The Guardian Newspaper, Scott Room, 60 Farringdon Road EC1R 3GA, from 7pm-9pm on Wednesday 13 July 2005.<br><br>The consultation ends on Friday 29 July 2005.<br><br>For more information check the council’s website, www.islington.gov.uk or phone Contact Islington on 020 7527 2000.
