Sure Start Hillmarton says Give it a go!

**********PHOTO OPPORTUNITY*********<br><br>What: Pamper Day <br>When; Tuesday 10th May from 10.30am-2.30pm <br>Where: The Sure Start Centre, Hungerford School, Hungerford Road (corner of Hungerford road and Yorkway), N7.<br><br>Islington's Sure Start Hillmarton is urging women to give breastfeeding a go. Parent and Sure Start board member Faiza Hussein, who is also a qualified breastfeeding supporter explained: <br><br>“The aim of the day is to encourage pregnant women to give breast feeding a go, and to celebrate those Mums who are already breastfeeding”. <br><br>On the day Sure Start Hillmarton’s team of breastfeeding supporter will be on hand to give advice and explain what they do. These volunteers are all mums who have breastfed their own babies and completed three months’ training to enable them to give support and information to pregnant women and breastfeeding mums. They have the experience and knowledge to help women who may have problems breastfeeding or who just want some information about breastfeeding.<br><br>There will also be FREE complimentary therapy treatments, goody bags, competitions, information and support, and a buffet lunch. <br><br>The event is being held as part of National Breastfeeding Awareness Week. A campaign promoted by the Department of Health to encourage breastfeeding and raise awareness of its importance to mums and Mums-to-be. This year, the focus is on the health benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby, and highlighting this to their partners, peers and families.<br><br>Give breastfeeding a go because it makes a difference for the mother:<br>· No special equipment-no mixing and no heating.
