Libraries in Islington are continually improving and next in line is Mildmay. The library will refurbished from Monday March 14 reopening Monday March 21.Work will include improving access to the building. New external and internal doors will be fitted. Lighting and flooring around the reception desk will be upgraded and improvements will be made for wheelchair users.The nearest library isSouth Library115-117 Essex Road, N1 Councillor James Kempton, executive member for children said: "We want to make our libraries welcoming, comfortable and accessible to as many people as possible. We are continually upgrading the facilities across our libraries. These improvements to Mildmay come a few years after we installed a new ICT suite with access to a range of electronic learning an information resources and a new book display and browsing area."Improvements have also been made to Archway and N4 library is very popular with 5000 new member joining in just over a year.”ENDS
