Consultation Dates: 29 October 2007 to 30 November 2007
We are currently consulting on a Draft Planning Brief for this site that has buildings on Riverside Road and Highbury Quadrant. It is close to Clissold Park, next to the White House pub.
We would like to hear what you think of ideas for redeveloping and regenerating the site. Islington Council proposes to seek a Housing Association as a partner to redevelop this Reception Centre site to provide high quality affordable housing including large, family sized units. The brief includes three options which provide some possible building layouts and cover the following issues:
Providing high quality affordable housing
Extends the Riversdale Road terrace completing the street
Provides some family housing with front and rear gardens
Promoting development which is accessible and environmentally sustainable
Building heights and locations
Retaining the existing trees
Promote car free development with appropriate car parking for people with disabilities
Islington residents.
