Sign up for the Islington Citizens Panel

If you would like to have your say about local issues and public services in Islington, put your name forward to join the Islington Citizens Panel. The panel is made up of over 1,000 Islington residents who complete 3 or 4 survey questionnaires a year about local services and issues. Some panel members have also taken part in focus groups and other forums.

We are trying to expand the panel but we also need to make sure we get a good cross section of Islington residents. We are especially keen to encourage younger people – anyone under 35 but especially the under 25s – to join. We would also like to recruit more people from black and minority ethnic groups to fully reflect the diversity of the local population.

Your answers to the survey questions and all of the personal information you provide will be kept confidential.

If you want to know more you can read our frequently asked questions or if you would like to put your name forward please complete the on-line recruitment form.

Finally if you have any other questions about the panel please e-mail consultation@islington.gov.uk

Consultation, Involvement and Engagement Strategy

The council has a Consultation, Involvement and Engagement strategy. This document (available for downloading at the bottom of this page) sets out the approach the council will take to seeking and listening to the views of residents, businesses, local groups and organisations and other stakeholders. At its heart is a set of 18 principles that the council aims to achieve when it seeks the views and involvement of local people.

Our Consultation Team
