Islington Council

Conveniently placed on Islington’s Upper Street, the Town Hall is easily accessible by public transport.

  • Highbury and Islington station is a ten-minute walk away, served by the Victoria Line Underground service, as well as Silver Link and WAGN Mainline services.
  • Angel tube station, on the Northern Line, is a little further away, at the other end of Upper Street.
  • Buses 4, 19, 30 and 43 all stop right outside the Town Hall.

If you or your guests are coming by car, street parking is restricted but there are some parking meters in the local area. Please remember that London traffic can be very busy, particularly on a Saturday in Islington, so allow plenty of time to get here. If your guests arrive late on the day of the ceremony it may be necessary to begin without them.

For those with mobility impairments, there are lifts suitable for wheelchair users providing access to our offices and all our ceremony rooms. To book a disabled parking bay in the small parking area in front of the Town Hall, please contact the Town Hall reception on 020 7527 3109.
