Islington Council

One of the most significant ways of enhancing and personalising your ceremony at the Town Hall is to include a poem or reading by one of your family or guests. Non-religious readings are allowed, but must be approved by the Superintendent Registrar. Non religious means readings cannot have any religious references. If you have a reading in mind that you are not sure about, then ask the Superintendent Registrar. Remember always to get approval for your choice of reading from the Superintendent Registrar.

Please note that Room 99 ceremonies are only half an hour. Personalised vows and readings are therefore not generally accommodated into ceremonies held in this room without incurring extra cost.
