Marriage

Marriage certificates will be presented to you at the end of the ceremony, however, if for any reason you require more than one copy, additional certificates should be collected from the office the following day.

Civil Partnership

A legal civil partnership certificate will be produced after the ceremony and will generally be ready by the following day, however, if you would like to be presented with a commemorative certificate at the end of the ceremony, this can be arranged. It should be ordered and paid for in advance in order for it to be produced in time for the ceremony.

A commemorative certificate has no legal status. However, it is a unique memento of the day, as it is a record of the signatures of the couple, the witnesses and the registrar. The legal version is simply a printed record of the registration.
