By now you should have read about all about giving your notices and the
ceremony rooms available at the Town Hall, and are ready to move to the next
step. To enable you to make all your arrangements in good time we offer a
provisional booking system which allows you to book up to one year in advance.
If you wish to make a provisional booking for a marriage or civil partnership
ceremony at the Council Chamber, Room 99 or the Mayor’s Parlour you should
Contact the Registrars as soon as possible to check availability. Please note
that a booking remains provisional until you have given your notice of
intention. As soon as we receive notification from the relevant registration
district that you have completed this initial formality we will confirm your
booking and proceed with making arrangements for the day.
If you wish to make a provisional booking for a marriage or civil partnership
ceremony in one of the approved venues in Islington and the City of London,
you should contact the venue of your choice to find out their availability. It
is then vitally important that you Contact the Registrars and confirm that a
registrar will be available on your chosen day and time.
Once your ceremony or marriage booking has been confirmed, and depending on
the type of ceremony you wish to have and the room or venue you choose, you
can make an appointment with the officiating registrar to discuss arrangements
for the day. Please ring a few weeks in advance of your ceremony to make an
appointment.
