Taxicards are only issued on the grounds of mobility.
How does it work?
The table below shows what you pay for a single journey (remember any amount over the fare limit, you are responsible for paying) Taxicard is currently valid with Computercab only. You can either book in advance or pick it up on the street. You are eligible for a Taxicard if you meet the following criteria: Taxicards will automatically be issued to applicants if: Applicants who cannot demonstrate that they hold any of the above will be asked to attend a mopbility assessment. Please note that children under 3 do not qualify unless it can be demonstrated that they require an oxygen cylinder to be carried with them at all times. Islington operated the scheme on the same basis as the Disability Living Allowance which states that a child up to the age of 3 can be carried or be in a carriage/pushchair.
