Help in Your Home is for people who live in Islington and need help to stay independent in their own homes.


The Information and Access Service provides the first point of contact for members of the public and professionals requesting community care services. These are for older people and people with physical disabilities.


Meals in the Home is a service run for housebound older people and disabled people, who have a permanent and substantial disability.


Occupational therapy is a service offered to people when, as a result of permanent and substantial disability, they are having difficulties carrying out everyday tasks by themselves.


The Sensory Disabilities team provides support services to people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, or hard of hearing.


Whittington Hospital has social workers and care managers for if you need help.


Libraries provide a number of specialised services for older people.


Age Concern produces a number of useful leaflets, which can help you get the best out of your community services run by both the council and local community groups.
