Every year we have opportunities for graduates and interns in most departments throughout the council. We regularly recruit through international, national and local programmes.
We also have established contacts with London Metropolitan University, the University of North London and Middlesex University to provide placements and internships for students. These are managed by the placement tutors in the relevant university. Please enquire on your course rather than contacting the council directly.
Our Children's Education Services are provided in partnership with Cambridge Education@Islington who manage our Newly Qualified Teacher programme.
We always welcome new people with bright ideas – and the national graduate scheme is a great place to start. It offers a post-graduate diploma, management training and mentoring whilst working for the council. You join us as a new management trainee on a two year contract with Islington, paid over £24,500.
