We understand that starting work is not easy, whatever your age, skills or confidence. Many people who live in Islington need help to prepare for work as well as practical support with transport, childcare or benefits to be able to get started. The following resources may also be useful:
- Residents looking for help to get a job, training or need advice on issues such as benefits or childcare can contact the council's Islington Working team on 020 7527 4486 or email islingtonworking@islington.gov.uk.
- If you are aged 19 or under and need practical help and guidance contact Connexions.
- For information about financial assistance moving from benefits to work see the DWP website.
- For childcare information and assistance contact the Family Information Service or call our helpline on 020 7527 5959.
- If you have a disability that impacts travel, work access or equipment needed at work please contact us on 020 7527 6070.
