Most of the corporate resources teams are providing support services to our service delivery departments and our service partners.
Registrars and Democratic Services – Our registrar service looks after three major life events: births, deaths and marriages/civil partnerships.
Legal Services is an integral part of the Corporate Resources Department, providing legal services to the London Borough of Islington and to a number of external clients. Legal Services is divided into two legal teams specialising in contentious and non-contentious areas of the law and are supported by the Business Support Team. The teams are:
Human Resources – ensures that the council has appropriate workforce plans for recruitment, skills development and leadership to be able to deliver the services our customers need in the future. We also provide the recruitment, training, pay, benefits and people information systems that support council operations from day to day, with HR Business Partners working with management teams in all of the service area.
TSG – The council's Technology Solutions Group (TSG) delivers and supports all aspects of IT which includes:
TSG has a wide range of qualified technical staff to provide advice and guidance on all IT-related issues. We can manage your IT requirements from analysis and design through to implementation and support.
