We are very proud of our Children's and Youth Services in Islington. Our teams in Early Years, Children's Care and Youth Services are some of the most committed people you could wish to meet! But don't take our word for it - Just ask the young people who have been in our care. Or listen to the buzz at the youth projects, or see the programmes we run to help young parents with study, work and family life.
We employ over 800 people to work with children, young people and families, as well as funding a wide range of voluntary activity. As a result we always have opportunities for new people to work with us. Experienced social workers, early years and youth workers are always in demand – but you don't necessarily need to be qualified before you work with us. There are a wide range of support and assistant roles advertised, where you can qualify while you work. We also have office roles where you can make an equally valuable contribution to the smooth running of our services for children in need, adoptions, nurseries, play and youth schemes.
Register on our jobs pages now to make sure you get notified whenever we have a vacancy.
There are also many jobs and training opportunities in the borough for people who would like to work with children and young people in childminding, voluntary nurseries and other local services not provided by the council. Find out more about:
