Adult Social Care

As the population gets older and medical advances allow people to live for longer, the demand for care services will grow. We employ more than 600 people in jobs for housing and care services. The skills and experience you need to work for us vary widely depending on the type of work you want to do.

What you can get involved in...

Home care and enablement services make certain that people are getting the care they need, while Housing Aid focus on keeping people safe and housed. These services need capable managers who will work with our partners to make sure the right services are provided.

We deliver our adult care services in partnership with the NHS and run some of our departments with them to ensure that we provide the very best care to vulnerable people with special physical and mental health needs.

In the community we run local day centres where we are always looking for local people to work in care services, or to help with transport for those who can not use public transport.

As demand increases and service requirements change we rely on national, private and voluntary organisations to work with us as we plan ahead. This means that strategy and commissioning is an increasingly important part of our work – ensuring availability, quality and value for money of the services provided to our community. We are always pleased to hear from people with experience in commissioning, procuring and managing high quality care.

It doesn't really matter what qualifications you have, if you care about people and would like to be part of a team that is passionate about care, you should join Islington.
