Work Is...

Work Is… is a council service that helps local residents find jobs and helps employers fill their vacancies.

If you are looking for a job, the Work Is…team can help match you with the vacancies held on their database. They also give advice on filling in application forms, preparing a CV, and interview techniques.

There are immediate vacancies for jobs in catering and hospitality, office administration, construction, transport and many other trades.

You can also find out about other support, such as training that can improve your chances of getting work, and about ways to help you progress in your new job.
