Construction Works

Construction Works

A huge amount of building work is underway in Islington at the moment, such as the Arsenal redevelopment near Holloway Road.

As well as building the new 60,000-seat Emirates stadium for Arsenal Football Club, the development also includes the construction of thousands of new homes and businesses.

Another massive planned local regeneration scheme at King’s Cross is likely to take 15 to 20 years to complete.
Many smaller projects are planned across the borough.

All of this means that there will opportunities for people to work in construction for many years to come.

The council's regeneration service is busy working closely with the construction companies involved to make sure that they give local people the chance to train and get jobs with them through a project called Construction Works.

There are opportunities for carpenters, plumbers, painters and decorators, electricians and many other trades - whether you already have skills or are keen on training to get into the industry.

So, if you live locally and want a job in construction, please get in touch with a member of the team. Contacts are shown below.
