Street Trading and Markets

The Street Trading Service regulates street trading in accordance with the council's legal duties and the public interest. We support the maintenance and development of successful street markets and street trading in Islington.

The council runs free workshops twice a year on setting up and running a successful market stall. For more information on the next workshop or to register your interest in attending please contact the Islington Business Partnership on 020 7527 3185 or email businesspartnership@islington.gov.uk.

What do we do?

• ensure street trading activities are properly licensed
• monitor stalls to ensure compliance with licence conditions
• deal with unlicensed street traders
• help develop and improve street markets.
