Contract Opportunities

Contract Opportunities

Welcome to Islington Council's contract opportunities pages.

Current procurement opportunities are listed on the left-hand side of the page. Click on the relevant opportunity for further information.

Click the CompeteFor... link on the right hand side of this page, under Useful Websites, for contract opportunities related to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

We are currently using an e-tender system to manage our procurements. To access this system, click the London Tenders Portal link under Useful Websites, on the right-hand side of this page. This site allows you to register your organisation for future procurement opportunities as well as the current opportunities.

The e-tender system will be used to:

  • communicate with you at each stage of each procurement exercise
  • send pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ) that you can complete and then return electronically
  • send invitation to tender (ITT) documents, which will allow you to complete and return your tender electronically

Where the value of a contract exceeds the EU thresholds, (see the EU Regulations link on the right), there will be a publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

All council contract notices and advertisements will clearly state the response times that bidders must adhere to.

For current contracts, click Contract Store.

Islington aims to provide equality of opportunity and welcomes applicants from black and minority ethnic communities and disabled groups. In addition the council actively seeks to use small to medium enterprises (SME) as part of its sustainability policy.

Supply 2 Gov

Supply2.gov.uk is the only official lower-value (typically below £100,000) contract opportunity portal, created by the Government, specifically to assist small businesses to sell to the public sector and grow their business.

The Supply2.gov.uk portal will benefit your business by notifying you of new contract opportunities, which you highlight as appropriate for your business, via the Daily Email Alert service. Furthermore, additional features such as the newsroom, resource section and a free platform for promoting your business to the public sector will ensure that you do not miss the opportunity to grow your business. To access the Supply 2 Gov site, click the link under Useful Websites, on the right-hand side of this page.
